Foodie Fun: Louisiana Oyster Jubilee 2013
March 7, 2013 – 2:23 pmOn Saturday, March 9th, come and enjoy Louisiana Oysters at the Louisiana Oyster Jubilee! This is the 6th annual celebration, held on the 300 Block of Bourbon Street elevates the oyster to new heights!
Here, you can celebrate the humble oyster with Louisiana chefs, restaurateurs, and oyster lovers with a 340-foot-long oyster po-boy made by more than 30 New Orleans restaurants using 5,500 Louisiana Oysters. Even better, at 12 p.m. the massive po-boy will be cut and passed out to attendees!
Earlier in the day, at 10 a.m. chefs will compete for the “Best Oyster Po-Boy” title. Admission is free from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. For more information about the visit, visit www.oysterjubilee.com.
